Le fils de l’épicier

Nominated, Most Promising Actor (Cazalé), César Awards

From Film Movement. Directed by Eric Guirado.
Starring Nicolas Cazalé, Daniel Duval, Jeanne Goupil, and Clotilde Hesme

When his father takes sick, a young man leaves the city and returns home to help with the family business. As he delivers groceries throughout the countryside, he gets reacquainted with the few elderly people still living there and sees the beauty of returning to the simple life.

The plot is somewhat predictable, but the cast, especially Nicolas Cazalé, makes the story work.

96 min. Unrated. Adult themes.
