Winner, 60th Anniversary Prize (Van Sant), Cannes Film Festival
Nominated, Palme D’Or (Van Sant), Cannes Film Festival
Winner, Producers Award (Neil Kopp), Independent Spirit Awards
Nominated, Best Director (Van Sant); Best Feature, Independent Spirit Awards

Directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting).
Starring Gabe Nevins and Danile Liu

Good music, good acting, and a good story, one told in an indirect way.  Interesting camera work.

Set in the Paranoid Park skateboard area in Portland. An accidental murder scene includes the gross crawling half body of a security guard run over by a train. Star Gabe Nevins manages to convey a range of emotions using the blank expression of a typical adolescent.

85 min. Rated R. Adult themes.
